Select a finished file.
In Batch, select a completed row and choose View result. Pagekind checks the actual file against the result recorded by your queue. The result panel shows its saved location, type and size. The queue stays visible so you can move between files.
Open the PDF and keep your place.
Choose Open PDF in Pagekind. The result opens in its own tab, ready for editing. Your other documents and their edits stay available. If this result is already open, Pagekind returns to that tab and keeps its current edits and view. You can keep up to twenty document tabs open.
Read an export before leaving the app.
A text result shows a read-only preview of its beginning, with a notice if the complete file is longer. An empty text export may mean the PDF has no selectable text: this export does not run OCR. A page-image result lists the images in the saved ZIP. For large lists, the first two hundred names are shown. Open the ZIP from its saved location to view the images.
Check an interrupted opening.
If opening is interrupted, Pagekind checks whether your PDF is ready and returns to that result. When the result cannot be verified, Check opened PDF remains available in Batch. Use it to check the same attempt again while continuing work in your other documents. Check the pending opening before choosing New queue.
If the result is known but its preview cannot load, its tab is kept. Select that tab to try loading it again. A closed result stays closed; to open the saved file again, choose View result and make a new opening.
Keep changed files in your control.
A missing or changed output cannot be opened as a verified batch result. Choose Verify results to update the queue. Checking a result never reruns the batch or replaces its output. An already-open working copy remains available if the saved output changes later.
Return after Pagekind closes unexpectedly.
Use Recover for committed document copies after their previous window has closed, including an unchanged batch PDF whose opening reply was lost. Recovering an interrupted queue restores the queue separately. A partial PDF without a verified document record is kept, but it is not automatically reconstructed or listed as a recoverable document.
Available in the unsigned Pagekind 0.65.0 engineering preview. Result previews support files up to 512 MiB. Text previews are limited to 64 KiB; ZIP listings are bounded and do not inspect the image pixels. Automated checks use actual PDFs and unshown controls. Human accessibility and clean Windows checks remain open release work.
