A LITTLE HELP WITH YOUR PAPERWORK

One page flows into the next.

Scroll through a long PDF, find the passage you need, and get back to editing when a detail needs changing.

A practical Pagekind guideWork with local files

Start here: Open your PDF → Read & select → Continuous.

Choose a comfortable reading view.

Open a PDF, choose Read & select, then Continuous. Scroll through the pages; the page number follows your reading position. The neighboring pages load as you approach them. Choose Fit width for a wider reading surface, or use Focus to give the document more room.

Keep the useful words.

Drag across words on a page or double-click a word. You can select a different visible page directly. Copy selection and Ctrl+C use that page’s selected text. The text panel also supports keyboard selection. A selection stays within one page, and the PDF’s copy permissions still apply.

Follow a reference and return.

Page numbers, thumbnails, Bookmarks and Find results take you to a destination. Find keeps its result list after a jump. Back or Alt+Left returns to your previous view; Forward or Alt+Right revisits the next one. Each open document remembers its own reading mode and position during this app session.

Make the correction on the right page.

Choose Single page or an editing tool. Pagekind first prepares the selected page for editing. Your unfinished draft remains available if it cannot be applied. Saving the same document retains the reading view; edits, page operations and Undo rebuild it from the changed PDF and clear old view destinations.

Try a page again.

If a page cannot load, the previous valid view stays available. Choose Reload pages in Read & select, or choose the page again. Navigation controls pause while an explicit page jump or reading-mode change is pending.

What this preview supports.

This reading view is included in the 0.65.0 Windows engineering preview. Select and copy text within one page at a time. Cross-page text selection and two-page spreads are not included.

At very high zoom, continuous pages can look softer than the editing view. Fit width uses the widest page; Fit page uses the first page’s height. To return after closing the app, explicitly keep a saved reading place.

Following a reference?

Use Follow links for PDF page references and reviewed website destinations in the same reader.
